About Sandile Mathebula
Sandile Mathebula has distinguished himself as an exceptional mathematics educator. Recently honored with the prestigious Global Teacher Award, Mathebula is recognized as the world’s best mathematics teacher. He began his teaching career immediately after completing his matric and has since been a guiding force at Siphumelele High School outside Richards Bay. His academic journey includes a successful completion of a Bachelor of Education degree as well.

Winning an International Award
My dream to change the perception of Maths amongst learners is my inspiration to finding new and innovative ways to simplify and make the subject easier and more enjoyable for learners. With more than five years teaching Maths I scoped an international award in 2022. I won in the category of Best Maths Teacher at the ‘Global Teachers Awards’ held in India – a huge accomplishment for me. I was completing with 110 countries in that category. The award encouraged me to continue changing more lives through chalk and a textbook. To all pupils struggling with Maths and Science, I am available to assist through online and in-contact channels.
Global Education Panel
In 2023 Sandile Mathebula was one of the participants in the prominent Global Education Panel in which matters of the education system in South Africa were discussed.
In April 2023 Sandile Mathebula strike again and won another award for outstanding mathematics teacher in Dubai.
Travel
Sandile Mathebula has been in almost all provinces in South Africa.
Partnerships
I became a Nestle Nespray brand ambassador because they focus on children from grade 4 – 7 age group. After winning an award they approached me to do maths quick lessons for these learners. The lessons are provided freely on their youtube and mine focusing on different topics. The project is called IPlug Yeskolo
I am in partnership with Oxford University Press as business partner. I have a dream of becoming an author of a simplified maths textbook. Therefore, I registered with them as an author.
I am in a partnership with WTS as a senior board member. This program focuses on the high school learners who are struggling with Maths and Physics from grade 8-12. I offer my service of Mathematics and physical science in order to help children with these killer subjects which have tarnish their future
This is a tutoring program which is from Hammersdale, Durban. I teach mathematics and physical sciences to grade 10-12. They required my services while I was still studying for my Education degree.
